Data we collect and how

We collect information you enter in account and service forms, identity details returned by a social sign-in provider you choose, and technical records generated to operate the service securely.

• Accounts: name, email, account type, password hash, verification and session records.
• Owners and captains: listing, yacht, route, price, photo and boarding point information.
• Customers: selected yacht, requested date, guest count, boarding preference, messages and quote replies.
• Social sign-in: provider user ID, verified email and the name provided by Google, Facebook or Apple.
• Security: essential session cookies, login attempts and transformed IP records used to limit abuse.

Purposes and legal grounds

We process account, authentication, listing and quote details to set up and perform the service you request. Listing review, account security and abuse prevention serve our legitimate interests. Records required by law are processed to meet legal obligations. This notice does not replace separate consent where a specific activity requires it.

Sharing

A quote request is shown to the operator of the yacht you selected, and the operator's reply is shown to you. Published listing details are visible to site visitors. Hosting and email service providers may process data to deliver the service. If you choose social sign-in, authentication is handled with that provider; we do not retain provider access tokens. We do not disclose account data to other parties for unrelated purposes.

Retention and security

We keep data while it is needed to manage accounts and requests, and for longer only where legal requirements or the protection of legal rights require it. Passwords are not stored in plain text. Access controls and secure session cookies are used. You can request correction or deletion using our contact email.

You may request information about your data, correction, deletion and the other rights available under applicable data protection law by emailing info@rentayachthere.com. We may request information necessary to verify your identity before responding.
